The Neill-Cochran House Museum hosted a Weddings Unveiled event on April 28. The weather was absolutely perfect for brides to enjoy the beautiful courtyard and grounds at this historic event venue.


Over 75 attendees enjoyed mingling with vendors, sipping on champagne, trying tasty samples and winning raffle items.

Texas Old Town hosted a Weddings Unveiled event on March 24. Despite rainy weather, over 75 attendees came out to meet wedding vendors at this beautiful wedding venue in the Texas Hill Country.


Luckily, the thunder storms didn’t roll in until after the show was over, allowing brides, grooms and their planning parties the opportunity to tour the Texas Old Town grounds and enjoy the rustic elegance of the huge oak trees, the bubbling creeks and the amazing landscaping.


Caroline of Sweet Caroline Photography took most of these photos (I’m sure you can tell which are hers and which represent my amateur photo skills).

Vendors showcased their work with portfolios and samples. Brides and vendors were able to mingle and have meaningful conversations in this intimate setting.

Attendees enjoyed bar-b-que samples from Pok-E-Jo’s Catering as well as truffle and cake ball samples from Objects of Confection. They also had fun trying out the two photo booths displayed by Hill Country Photo Booths and Booth 66.

The Weddings Unveiled Bridal Lounge was set up for attendees to enjoy a relaxing space where they could browse vendor portfolios at their leisure.

The March 3 show at The Allan House was one of the best Weddings Unveiled shows yet!

The weather was perfect for an intimate evening of wedding planning fun! Over 100 attendees enjoyed the elegant home and grounds at The Allan House while they sipped champagne, nibbled on catering samples and mingled with vendors.


We were so busy with vendor registration and raffles, we didn’t get a chance to take any photos. Luckily, Ron Parks and his team photographed the event and shared with us!

Details from the show. Each guest received a reusable tote full of discounts, coupons and a free gift. The Allan House ladies set-up the ceremony site to help couples envision the details of their wedding. Vendors went all out to showcase their talents with beautiful displays and delectable samples.

As attendees entered, they registered for raffles by category. This helped to ensure winners received prizes they could actually use. Due to the large number of prizes, we held a raffle every 20 minutes. Our raffle winners were ecstatic about winning!

Attendees and vendors had the opportunity to have meaningful conversations and get to know each other in an intimate setting. In addition to other caterers, Whole Foods Culinary Center and Catering offered samples from their catering menu.

The February 7 Weddings Unveiled took place at scenic Vintage Villas. Over 100 attendees came out to enjoy the view, mingle with vendors, sip on cocktails and nibble on tasty hors d’oeuvres.


Items were raffled every 30 minutes. Brides were excited about our new raffle system! Attendees were able to distinguish which types of raffle items they would like to win (photography, wedding planners, chocolate, etc). This helped to ensure winners received prizes they could actually use for their weddings.

The January 24 Weddings Unveiled event took place in the Texas Hill Country at rustic Cactus Ranch. Just a short drive from New Braunfels, Cactus Ranch is the perfect venue for a truly Texas wedding. Located on 24 acres, the venue offers Hill Country views of as-far-as-the-eye-can-see Live Oak trees, rolling hills, cactus and cattle. The entire facility, including guest rooms, is available for a rustic destination wedding.

The January 13 Weddings Unveiled event took place at the new event facility at Zach Theatre. Conveniently located downtown and on the shores of Lady Bird Lake, Zach Theatre offers three fully outfitted spaces versatile enough to fulfill your needs.
The most recent addition is the Bettye and Bill Nowlin event space that is perfect for the modern bride looking for an industrial, downtown vibe. The Bettye and Bill Nowlin Center is a blank slate that can be dressed up with lighting and personalized decor or left as is for a minimalist, modern feel.

The December 2 Weddings Unveiled event took place at the amazing Waterford House in South Austin. Conveniently located off of IH35, Waterford House is nestled back in the trees. You feel like you’re in the middle of the Hill Country, but have the conveniences of being in town. What’s more, the Waterford House is gorgeous. Amazingly high ceilings, gorgeous chandeliers and tons of space!

Austin Bridal Event
The October 27 show was held at Mercury Hall, one of Austin’s most popular wedding venues. 25 vendors participated, showcasing their specialties to about 140 attendees.

Raffles & Giveaways
One of the most exciting features of the night was the amazing raffle giveaways. Six engagement sessions were awarded to lucky couples from She-N-He Photography and Elizabeth Jayne. One engagement session, from She-N-He Photography came complete with a custom guest book, a print of your choice, a DVD of high resolution images and makeup and hair styling from Defining Styles. Other items raffled included gift certificates from Objects of Confection, Lia Sophia and Dragonfly Designs, discounts from < a href="http://www.alamophotographic.com" target="_blank">Alamo Photographic, Blossom’s Floral Artistry and Brett Buchanan and gift baskets from Picnics2Go and Twin Liquors.

Each guest received a complimentary Weddings Unveiled gift bag upon entry.

Fashion Show
Melange Bridal hosted a masquerade themed fashion show. The collection featured 10 of the hottest styles in bridal attire paired with jewelry from Lia Sophia and bouquets from Blossom’s Floral Artistry.

Refreshments
Guests enjoyed samplings from the tasting menus of Word of Mouth, Crave Catering and Pokejo’s. At the Picnics2Go table, attendees sampled items from the new catering team’s tasting menu, complemented by champagne.
As the evening got cooler, attendees flocked to the XPresd booth to warm up with espresso, tea or hot chocolate.
And, of course, there were the sweets! Moonlight Bakery served their classic wedding cake alongside elaborate pastries perfect for a dessert table or a wedding brunch. Austin Cake Ball showcased a digital portfolio of wedding cakes and cake ball presentations with samples of their cake balls on hand. Objects of Confection offered a variety of cake ball and truffle samples, including a new truffle flavor–Cabernet.

Austin Wedding Show

The September 9 show was held at Palm Door, a fabulous downtown venue with loads of charm! 30 vendors participated, showcasing their talents to about 130 brides.

Raffles & Giveaways
Many items were raffled throughout the night. Brides won gift certificates to Sugar N Spice Patisserie and Objects of Confection. Two lucky attendees won incredible wedding planning discounts from An Event to Remember. Lia Sophia raffled a $100 gift certificate for bridal jewelry. Perfectly Planned Weddings and Events raffled two wedding keepsakes. Four attendees won gift certificates toward their wedding stationery from Dragonfly Designs. Water 2 Wine gave three attendees a night of wine tasting with friends and a few lucky ladies got to take fresh flowers home from C & J Events and Blossom’s Floral Artistry. And, one lucky bride won a gift basket from Twin Liquors.

Each guest received one of the fabulous Weddings Unveiled tote bags upon entry.

Refreshments
In addition to their amazing tasting menu, Pink Avocado served a signature cocktail, the ‘Pinktini’. County Line / Cannoli Joe’s brought tons of tasty bbq, appetizers and complemented it all with their refreshing Sangria. Water 2 Wine was on hand with a great variety of wines and a very knowledgeable host to help brides determine which wines would be best for their weddings. Royal Fig Catering served a beautiful gourmet spread of local, seasonal menu items. At the Galaxy Cafe table, brides sampled a variety of items from the catering menu, including the crowd pleasing pulled pork sandwiches.

And then there were the sweets…
Objects of Confection wowed guests with a mouth-watering truffles and cake balls in a variety of unique flavors. Stardust Pastry and Sugar N Spice Patisserie served mini cupcakes to give brides a taste of how amazing their cakes are as they browsed through portfolio photos of their work. Krissy’s Cakes brought huge sheet cake tasting samples for brides to enjoy as they discussed their ideas for their perfect wedding cake.

Vendor Fun:
boothBOOTH and Get Flipped brought their unique photo options for attendees to try. Divisi Strings and Larissa Ness performed during the show. Brides enjoyed mingling with a variety of wedding vendors.

July’s Weddings Unveiled was held at The Allan House, an elegant wedding venue conveniently located in the heart of downtown Austin. Twenty-five vendors participated with over 150 attendees.

The June 10 show was held at beautiful Mercury Hall. Though the weather was quite warm, it was the best turnout of vendors and brides thus far.

Raffles & Giveaways
Twelve items were raffled including a bridal photo session from Cameron Jordan Artistry, gift certificates from Torte Bella, a lighting package from GGC Productions, a free veil or headpiece from Unbridaled, a $200 wedding dress discount from Unbridaled, champagne from Austin Catering, a serving set from Hill Country Event Planning and discounted services from Altared Weddings.

This event was also the debut of the Weddings Unveiled tote bag (see below) which each guest received upon entrance.

Refreshments
All enjoyed the cold drinks served up by Barfly ES&P and Sledd Photography, the tasty food from Whole Foods Culinary Center, Austin Catering and Word of Mouth, the amazing (and beautiful) cakes from Torte Bella and fun interactions with all of the other vendors.
